Our NGO along with various Political and Non-Political Organizations from across the Marathwada region launched a silent protest march from Gandhi Statue, Shahgunj to Divisional Commissionerate demanding the inclusion of Urdu as the language of questions and answers in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET). The NEET (A Common test for the Aspirants of MBBS and BDS courses across the country) is Conducted be the Central Board of Secondary Education and will be held on May 5 2013.
The Medical council of India, Delhi had agreed to set the 2013 question paper in some other vernacular languages including Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Gujratati apart from the widely accepted languages – English and Hindi.
Mr. Mohsin Ahmed said that “There are 100 junior colleges imparting science subject education for students up to HSC in Urdu across the state. Students from these colleges will appear for the NEET-2013. So we want Urdu to be the Language of Answer.”
